Penrose is an unincorporated community at the junction of Hwy 50 and Hwy 115 in Northeastern Fremont county.

Once a major producer of Apples, today Penrose is mostly small family farms and horse community.

Penrose is also home to the Fremont County Airport. A regional airport with private flights, cargo and passenger flights as well as the refueling and refilling station for the wildfire fighting aircraft of the region.
